Draw My Life - The Animated Series is a series of animated videos based on events that transpired during BlueGator's life. It is not, however, a direct translation of her life 100% exactly, as that would be nearly impossible to replicate.
Overview
The concept originated from watching other "Draw My Life" videos made by other Youtubers, however most of these were single videos that try to tell 20+ years of a life's story in just as many minutes. BlueGator, feeling her life couldn't be accurately summed up in just 20 minutes, felt it was better to flesh out into a full animated series.
The pilot episode, "Prologue", was released in September of 2016, to near-universal acclaim and positive reception. As a result, it was decided then and there that plans for the full series would go into motion.
Each episode chronicles a particular time period of BlueGator's life, usually in the span of a few months, though on occasion the episode's timeline could be shorter or longer, depending on the subject.
The Author
DML: TAS episodes start out with some blurbs from "The Author", who serves as a self-insert for BlueGator.
Whereas the in-universe version of BlueGator is seen as more optimistic, The Author is more cynical when it comes to their statements and viewpoints. The reason for this will be revealed in a future episode.
In Episode 2, "Friendship", The Author is seen transforming into a dog, confirming that The Author has the power of transformation.
